Using something we call Augmented Reality, it is possible to combine real world with virtual. It is truly amazing technology and in this article we’ll try to give you some extreme examples of it, and in some future posts, we’ll present you with stuff that, actually, already exists.
It is essentially the fusion of real world and virtual reality, where graphic objects are mixed into real footage in real time. Augmented Reality creates the illusion that virtual, computer-generated objects exist in the real world.
The majority of you have already seen this in movie “Terminator 2″, where robot from future (Mr. Schwarzenegger) is looking at objects around him marked with labels.

Way in which Terminator is looking around him
Picture yourself walking or driving down the street. With augmented-reality displays, which will eventually look much like a normal pair of glasses or contact lenses, informative graphics will appear in your field of view, and will coincide with whatever you see. These enhancements will be refreshed continually to reflect the movements of your head.
Sounds interesting? Imagine new generation of entertainment… Games? Why not play, all time classic game, Pacman in real-time?

Applications of augmented reality technology are infinite. Look at these great (and extreme) concept videos made by Invivia on request of Microsoft Corporation. These videos are really impressive so take a few moments to enjoy them.
